Hernandez Coat of Arms

Hernandez Coat of Arms

ORIGIN: SPAIN

Coat of Arms: A red shield with 3 silver saltire crosses.

Spelling variations include: Hernández, Hernandez, Herraiz, Herráez, Herraez, Herranz, Hernaiz, Hernáez, Hernaez and many more.

First found in Castile, where the name originated in Visigothic times.

Some of the first settlers of this name or some of its variants were: Francisco Hernández was one of the first settlers of Panama and Nicaragua, where he died in 1526, after serving as governor of Nicaragua. Pero Hernández was one of the earliest conquistadors.

I wrote this 3-20-07 while in Mexico

last night i sat in my vehicle while gabbie went to buy a water at a convenient store when I noticed that a box was sitting on the middle of the road. I saw the box and I thought nothing of it, since it was simply trash to me. I then noticed that people who passed by, either walking or on their motor cycles slowed down to look at the box and to see if by the slimest of chances, it contained anything. I did not even considered wasting a thought of checking the box. This is simply a contrast of two cultures.

Enrique Ortiz de Landázuri Izardui (a.k.a. Enrique Bunbury), born August 11, 1967 is a Spanish rock singer-songwriter.

Bunbury was born in Zaragoza, Spain. He got involved in music in the early 1980s, making his debut in a high school band called Apocalipsis, and later played along with Proceso Entrópico. In 1984, Bunbury joined a group called Zumo de Vidrio, debuting as a lead vocalist. After adopting the nickname of Bunbury, taken from the Oscar Wilde stage play The Importance of Being Earnest, the musician teamed up with Héroes del Silencio, becoming a major number in the Latin rock scene. The band eventually broke up in 1996 and Bunbury started his solo career in 1997 with a techno album, Radical Sonora with his new band: Copi (piano), Del Moran (bass), Ramon Gacias (drums) and former Héroes del Silencio guitarist Alan Boguslavsky.

Recognized by his wish to always reinvent himself, Bunbury released in 1999 the album "Pequeño", which sounded very different from anything he did before. His band also suffered changes, Boguslavsky was replaced by Rafa Dominguez, and the new faces, Ana Belén Estaje (violin), Luis Miguel Romero (percussion), Javier Iñigo, Javier Garcia Vega & Antonio Ríos in the metal instruments.

This band was known as the "Huracán Ambulante" ("Walking Hurricane") and recorded with Bunbury the rest of his solo discography.

In 2005, after 8 years together, Bunbury dissolved the band and record a new album in 2006 with Nacho Vegas.

In 2007, Heroes del Silencio agreed to participate in a 10 concert exclusive world-wide tour in ten cities around the world, simply called "Tour 2007" to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their first performances and it has also been 10 years since their disbanding in 1997. The first concert will take place in Guatemala City on September 15, followed by Buenos Aires (September 21), Monterrey, Mexico (September 25), Los Angeles (September 28), Mexico City (October 4 & 6), Zaragoza, Spain (October 10 & 12), Seville, Spain on (October 20), and Valencia, Spain on (October 27) which closed the '07 Tour.

Sad but true.

While I was living in Mexico, I worked as a radiology technician. One of my co-workers work for the company I worked for and for the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (Mexico's attempt to provide universal health care). We worked with the IMSS often, when their tomography went down, patients would be sent to our facilities to perform tomographies. One such night I got a called from an attendant, they needed to find my co-worker, because there was a trauma patient who needed a head cat scan.

I called my co-worker and told him he was needed, he told me it wasn't his shift and that he was not going to show up and that he would turn off his cell phone. And so he did. Next morning I found out that patient had died. With or without a cat scan he would've died anyway (I think he would've live in the US) since he could not get the care he needed for his injuries.

One day, another of my co-workers was traveling by a scooter to a job site, when he was mowed down by a drunken Mexican Army sergeant. He was taken to the IMSS and since he was the brother of a some what influential business man, he was given all the tests needed, however, for 2 day he laid in urgent care because the hospital could not assign him a room. Finally his brother decided to transport him to a private hospital. He lived, once again, I think this man would've died at the IMSS, he survived because his brother had the means to give him the proper care at a private facility.

At least one of the doctors I knew (he was sub-director of a certain specialty)was drunk Monday - Thursday every other week. He wasn't the only one drinking, everyone under him, would drink with him.

I don't know If universal health care would work in the US, but I know it did not work in Mexico...sad but true.

America benefits from immigration

America benefits from its many immigrants. Asian entrepreneurs have helped revive inner city LA. Haitians and Jamaicans who have stabilized the neighborhoods in Queens and Brooklyn. Indian programmers have spurred so much innovation in places like Silicon Valley and Boston’s Route 128.

Unfortunately, Mexicans while known for being great workers, we are eternally enclaved in our communities where we rely on government hand outs instead of relying or our resources and that of your friends. 40% of high school Mexicans will drop out of high school. Of the 60% of us who graduate from high school, only 4 -6 graduates is ready for college, and of the 6 ( at best) 3 are stuck at remedial courses in college. This is the cycle that our uneducated Mexican parents have put us through, Is this what we want for our children?

What can we do about it? First, lets help our parents assimilate the culture. If they are in love with Mexico so much, encourage them to go back and I will bet anything that they will be back in no time. They must learn the language for if they do not, they can never advanced at their jobs and thats what its all about, making the green.

Secondly, lets get educated, for us and for our children. For some of us, a technical career will suffice. We cant all get BAs, or even a Doctorate. Plumbers make a great living. Lets encourage our children to be educated and lets show them our parents as an example. Tell them, your grandparents are great people, but they never learned English or went to school and so they were disadvantaged against those immigrants that did. Let our children know why we were brought to the land of dreams and that we must not let that dream die with our parents.

The Fourth Dimension

Perhaps one of the greatest challenges to the human mind is to understand outside of our 3 dimensions of space that humans were born to accept and live with. Some have said that the fourth dimension is a geometric point that if humans were able to perceive, then they could see and understand the physical world as it truy is. This of course is a fable, because if it were true than it would be true that the other 7 dimensions did not exist.

My favorite take on the fourth dimension is that of borges. He reveals that he had seen the fourth dimension, that it was the point were all points met and became a single point. I know understand that what Borges was describing was merely a cirlce. A circle has an infinite number of sides (or points) and they all meet at one point to become a single center.

Not to long ago, as i sat in front of my office, an older gentle man approaced me and inquired about my thoughts. I glanced at him to see if I knew this person but I did not, yet I still felt compelled to respond. My response is of no relevence here because of the book he showed me. It was a well kept book yet by its looks anyone could tell that it was quite old. The book had no name only the following inscription, "every generation 11 people must find each other" He then said to me that once I read chapter 4 I would know what to do.

I read chapter four. As I read I though that this was a bunch of crap, by the time I finished reading all 5 pages of chapter 4, I knew what to do. I cannot say that i memorized the chapter, but what I read I trust anyone would remember. Nature is ruled by mathematical properties that humans are capable of learning and conquering. Nature itself is alive and will give when asked but it will not be abused. To see nature for what it truly is, humans must know and understand its 11 dimensions. Humans are born perceiving 3 dimension each of the remaining 8 dimenions will add to humans understanding and acceptance of all the remaining dimensions.

All dimensions have been revealed to humans, but as it is expected , humans will catagorized everything they dont understand as abnormal or even as a desease. The fourth dimension is quite simple to see yet complex to understand and apply. As we know, humans can perceive their reality and even accurately measure the time in which their reality takes place.

There are humans who have been born with the ability to see the fourth dimension but because of their lack of knowledge they are treated for a dysfuction. humans know it as dyslexia. There are the people whom nature has selected to unravel its mysteries. Unfortunately humans think that these special human being are merely damaged because they must learn to read the right way. If these humans could harness and train their nature given ability they could look at any hieroglyphic and easy dechipher it. The essence of the fourth dimension is to unlock the human brain to a natural intinct the allows humans to "feel" what they see. This of course makes absolutely no sense to me or you. It is the gifted who must realize the potential of their gift and then and only then can they unlock this part of the brain.

I now understand that each generation 11 people will be shown one chapter each and then they must find each other and teach what each other what they know. Then the gifted will no longer be the only ones who will have the ability to understand.
